STRAMASHED was approached by a newly formed local charity to help them build and launch their website.
Plean House and Stables is a community-based charity looking to rebuild and restore the house and stables within Plean Country Park to their former glory for use by the immediate community, park users and visitors to the area.
Having been let down by a previous web agency, they were behind schedule with their aim of having the website live in time for a new fundraising push at the start of August. STRAMASHED was delighted to step in to not only design and build a website they could be proud of, but also meet their tight deadline to get the site launched in time.
Recently taken drone footage was used to create an engaging landing page where users were immediately transported into Plean Country Park to see the house and stables as they stand today in disrepair.
A magazine-style layout with friendly tone and handwritten typefaces draw the user in and provide clear and accessible links to the various sections of the website.
A blog-style News section was developed to allow the client to easily update with latest news and fundraising events, including details of their Cake & Cuppa Stall which has become a regular attraction within Plean Country Park on the first Saturday of every month.
There are clear call to action buttons encouraging the user to Get Involved or Donate to the charity.
To reflect the exuberance and dedication of the charity members and Trustees, images of actual volunteers, local people and events are used prominently throughout the site.
We also arranged for discounted web hosting and email accounts in respect of the client’s charitable status, which hopefully freed up a little extra money to go towards their main aim of restoring the two iconic buildings.
